We have had several (Nightwish etc) in the preliminaries, but all the grannies have always voted for their generic tango singers that no one in their right mind listens to - unfortunately the grannies are very numerous still, but 10-15 years down the line, Finland will belong to the youth

As for Lordi, I just downloaded the song, it's a pretty tame and bland rock song, but at least there are electric guitars and evil masks! All hail Gwar, Mr. Bungle, Rob Zombie, Slipknot und Dschingis Khan!

I don't consider Lordi metal? It's like ABBA with guitars, and costumes. So it makes sense that they won.

And concidering they are probably the only contentant that wrote their own music and played it live (no tapes involved), they deserved it.
