When people have to write down my last name, they always ask 'is that with 2 ms?'. I always want to ask them 'Would it still be the same name, then?'. But I'm no polite so I just answer with 'Just one, sir'.

My name is Fabrizio.
In italian is quite impossible to pronounce it in a wrong way, but a lot of people write it "Fabrizzio"...

Non-italian people usually have some problem with the "r" (it sounds like the "r" in Ramstein) and with the "z" (it sounds like the "z" in Zen, not like "s"), but I can't complain in the end... Nobody calls me "Fabrizio"... Not even my mother!!!

Just curious

Dude, you have to live my life for a week with a last name like Van Poederooyen !

Can't be that hard to pronounce! Well I'm Dutch and your roots seem to be Belgian (could be Dutch tho), so your name isn't too much of a mistery. But I can imagine others having loads of trouble with it. Hence the "RVP" I guess.

Quite often when I'm on the phone people ask me how to spell my name. L-O-G-A-N. I think its my accent.

Sometimes when I read a book and I don't bother to learn how to say a characters name I realise I have no idea what they are called, but just recognise who they are by a couple of letters in their name.
