I thought it was spelled "Sychestra", but i saw Ryan's post, and i dont think he would make that mistake because hes in the band. So i guess they changed it ?

It's really great to see how excited Devin is about the new DTB album. I know how he loves doing SYL, but I can see how it might be very strenuous for him. Dude, it's strenuous to *me* to listen to it, sometimes!

A couple of thoughts... I've said this in other threads, but I hope there is a resemblance between "Synchestra" and the latest work Devin did on the Ayreon disc. Those parts really sound awesome. I'm excited to see that Devin's description of what they're doing *could* match the work on "The Human Equation."

The other thing that pops into my head is... Beavis Christ (a bandmember) mentioned that he can't wait to play the songs live. Devin has mentioned in a couple of interviews that the album "Synchestra" would be one 70 minute long song broken into parts. Does that mean that a live DTB show will be a performance of "Synchesta" in its entirety? Hmmm.

Wonderful news. Quite a package! A whole DTB concert in DVD as a bonus? How does this work good as a bonus? Moreso it elevates the next release to some hyper level. A musthave.

As of yet, the "one song"-thingy is a rumor. And even though it was started by our friend Devin (as I think it was), it isn't etched in stone quite yet.

BTW, I've always felt that "Terria" was like one song. And "Infinity"...

I didn't think it was a rumor simply because Devin has said it in more than one (at least two) interviews. I have heard that he's been known to make up shit just for the fun of it. And, as a Tool fan, I know what it's like to take with a grain of salt most of what comes out of a favorite entertainer's mouth (lachrymology anyone?) but I never saw Maynard be consistent like that. So, I assumed this was something that Devin was actually working on. Plus, he usually tells the truth on this website and I thought I saw it up here. Hmm. Maybe not. I dunno. Anyway, I'm just trying to say I was under the impression it was true.

Exactly! Which only makes me think it's not so much a rumor as what they're actually working on. Which leads me back to the live performance. How would they play "songs" from Synchestra if it's one song? Have they mispoken? Did they (Ryan, I think it was. Or was it Beavis (which is who?)?) mean to say they couldn't wait to play parts of the song?
