What makes me laugh is that people were surprised when Clive Barker came out. It's not as if the cenobites are the best hidden metaphor.

I think it is a similar situation to Rob Halford then.....I mean, with all that leather, who would have imagined he was gay? I seem to remember also that Rob assumed everyone knew he was gay because it was so obvious.

But anyway, yes. Pinhead. Camp and creepy.

well, yes Hellseeker was more like a Thriller but I liked that. I was happy not to see another Hellraiser 4. And the Cenobite appearances were also more like in the first part again. What I didn´t like about part 3 for example was that the Cenobites looked like Cyborgs and they walked way too fast. Cenobites don´t have to hurry because they´ll get you anyways. Oh well, I´m quite a fan of that stuff so I´m maybe biased anyways. It´s so scarey and at the same time sooooooo cheesy, you gotta love it.

I remember either the 2nd or 3rd Hellraiser having Armored Saint in a night club. I think the song was Last Train Home off of Symbol of Salvation, not sure....But i know it was off the Symbol of Salvation album

The part in the second one where the doctor gives the psychotic guy a razor always sends shivers down my spine... eew

ha ha...yes, that scene is very very eeeew! I also love the scene where uncle Frank "resurrects" in Hellraiser 1. That is pretty well done for a movie from the late 80's in my opinion and it looks totally disgusting.

Yea that kicks ass!

the scene at the end of 1 where uncle Frank has all the chains in him and says the line:
"Jesus Wept..." is pretty cool too.

I never got the random hobo demon though...

you mean that huge demon thing? That´s an engineer...they create the cenobites.

Oh, I know which one you meant, the homeless dude...yeah, that one is pretty confusing. No idea what he´s there for in that movie. Probably it´s satan himself.

yes...those wheels are there on purpose btw. I was wondering about that too but then I saw a drawing by Barker of an engineer and it in fact had wheels instead of legs.

Are you sure? Because you can see the trolley tracks aswell. I was sure it was a mistake in the film, even if Mr Barker drew it with wheels originally. The IMDB still lists it as a 'goof'.

Well, wheels or no wheels, its all good.

yeah, whether it´s there on purpose or not, it looks pretty goofy. Especially when that thing punches Kirsty´s friend...that looks funny as hell.

Heh yeah.

In general though, the creature designs are totally awesome.

yes...especially in part 1 and 2. The ones in the following movies all looked a bit uninspired. I liked the twins in part 4 though. And the Chatterer torso in "Inferno" looked freaky too.

The figures that are made to accompany Clive Barker stories are fantastic... i think that they're made by MacFarlane Toys? My friend has some, the detail's fantastic.
