The Dev wrote:I have the record (tentatively titled) 'HUMAN' that I really want to record now...it's some well needed Yin to Aliens overwhelming Yang! The first Beautiful record I feel.

Melvins tribute record, SYL did 'Zodiac' (normal line up) and I'm on another song with Byron and Burt and the Mastodon drummer, (I play gitter) and we're doing 'Joan Of Arc' Everyone hail the Melvins (especially Dale!...all Hail Dale!)

Rock and roll!!! Be well, and health to your family.

Devin.

'Human' is gonna be more beautiful than Terria then? Thats gotta be a task and a half.

As for the cover of Zodiac (which I've been waiting to hear for soooooooo long now) I'm absolutely hyped. But I think The Dev would of done a better job of Joan Of Arc's 'EEEEYYAAAAAAAA!!!' bit, but then again I'm sure Burt's voice will sound cool (with his custom 'Burt VST' Plugin :P I'm still not sure how he does that...) And Mastodon's drummer is incredible, although Dale Crover IS the best drummer ever (IMO). Any news on the release date of the tribute, Devin?

*Dale Crover and Devin on a track would be fuckin A!*

Darkest Hour are poised to kick some serious ass. The piano work on their song Veritas, Aequitas is quite possibly the most beautiful piano melody I've ever heard. Kris Norris (lead guitarist) is quite a bit more talented than people know (he also played the piano in the song I mentioned earlier). With Devin at the helm of their next album, I think people will be pleasantly surprised by them. Along with Cipher System, Darkest Hour could be breathing life back into the melodic death scene, taking off where Soilwork stopped with The Chainheart Machine.

I'm in the mood for Alien. Strange, 'cause lately I've wanted more or less the opposite to what Dev has released, which has been sort of a problem. (Like wanting Physicist and getting AE, if you see what I mean.)

But now... Bring the madness right here, and make me eat it!!!

Once again, very happy to hear an update from Devin and it looks like things are going pretty good. Can't wait for the DVD to come out, I know that'll be great. Alien should be absolutely killer, at least from what I've heard. Also I'm immediately intrigued by what "Human" is said to be like, and I know that Devin's been successful with certain softer songs in the past, so I have no worries there.

As for that Melvins tribute, I knew about the SYL doing Zodiac thing, which is so awesome because it's one of my favorite Melvins songs, but to have that lineup (Devin, Byron, Burt, and Bran) on Joan of Arc is going to be just plain unbelievable. and Joan of Arc is, on top of all that, one of the single heaviest songs that I've heard in my entire life.

It is indeed an exciting thing hearing about Human..... After that amazing effort that Dev has put into Alien I'm sure that the new DTB will be even more amazing!

Producing 'Darkest Hour' Starting in March...Cool band from DC. They want to mix their sound up a bit...(Muoohahahahaa!!! )

Devin.

There's a beer with your name on it Dev, if you're interested, when you come down. We could use more good metal in the D.C. area... Virginia's hogging it all these days

Very excitedly awaiting the DTB DVD. Four discs or one, that project holds up solidly enough that Devin should be very proud of it. Like Ocean Machine and Terria, I can't help but feel that they were made for me! Sounds like Human will be that way too.
By the way, Devlab is bitchin! Dev, I remember telling you how profoundly effected I was by Biomech when I fell asleep to it one night and it took me on a very strange trip. Well, same thing happened with Devlab, but it was a little scarier.
