I'm sure he would but Kerry feels Bush was wrong in ever getting us into the war etc etc. Naturally he will try to fix it.
But Bush is standing behind his decision. He felt he was right. Obviously he isn't going to go back and say he screwed up, he doesn't feel he did.

in regards to the results

if kerry would have won, four years from now he would've been regarded as a president who couldn't keep his promises because he never would be able to pass laws and stuff, now in four years if the democrats win they can start off better because they'll be able to pass laws (pending the economy worsens and the iraq war never gets solved).

Yeah, we would have complained to some extent about whoever ended up in there,... this is true.
No one ever gets 100% of the vote so there will always be something bitch-worthy, lol

wasn't it lincoln who said (after being reelected to his surprise) something about crossing a stream on one horse rather then jumping to another

o.0
i think what he meant was that is better to stick with it even though it may be bad, so for ex. bush and the iraq war, it's probably better just to let bush finish it now...

if it can ever be finished...Iraq seems to be a huge mess, I´m not really sure if the Bush admin. or any other admin. is or would be able to do that. Things have just gone too wrong early on. I often hear the argument that we at least know what Bush does. I don´t know. So what will he do? Will he bring peace to Iraq? Will he ever pull out the troops? Or will he attack another country soon? Or won´t he? I think it´s bullshit to say that we know what´s gonna happen with Bush because something different will happen anyways. Who would have expected the shit that´s going on right now 4 year ago?

I think Iraq is going to be a major problem; this war will not be over soon; I'm not saying it will be another Vietnam, but it probably will stay bad for a while.
As for Bush, unfortunately I think he's going to choose another sovereign country to invade soon, and my bet is it's going to be Iran. All of a sudden there have been many reports on Iran and their nuclear program, which came out of nowhere.
There has been a poll held recently under the youth (15-25) in my country about the greatest threat on earth, 38% voted on Bush and his policies being the biggest threat in the world. And I gotta tell you, it doesn't surprise me. When I think of Bush as a president, I think of the end of Dr. Strangelove....

Really we don't know what any of them are going to do. We're all used to empty campaign promises from both ends.
And as far Iraq goes, they're just as divided as we are right now. Some of them are glad Saddam is gone and some are just wishing he was back so the US would get the hell out of there.
There just isn't a right answer in this instance because none of us knows what would have happened if we just left it alone. I'm very against this war but on the other hand, I don't have all the information either. All I can do is pray like hell that it all turns out ok and people are smarter and better off after it's all said and done.

I think another huge threat is HIV...so I hope that Bush will stop blabbering about sexual abstinence and discovers condoms. This world needs tons of rubbers.

Well, the planet isn't. The people are, I'm afraid. The planet will always endure, humans will just extinct.

exactemente....cuz telling teenagers not to have sex is like telling them not to breathe...I don´t think it will work that well. So Bush should start to think about that. I mean, he can´t seriously think that rubber is evil, can he?

I don't know... When I look at some of the Catholic families living in my hometown.... Families with 13 children and stuff. Everyone strong enough to have 13 (or more!) children instead of using a condom is kind of weird in my eyes.
I can't believe Bush is against condoms anyway; what, is he living in the 18th century? He's even paid less than the half the money he promised to pay Africa on HIV-treatment.

The earth will endure, eh? What about all the oil drilling, animal extinction, global warming, logging in the rainforests, volcanoes, earthquakes, mudslides, water pollution, air pollution, acid rain, melting ice caps, ocean dumping,... ETC ETC ETC.... bottom line is we need to learn how to be considerate of other creatures and our environment or we can just kiss it goodbye. All of it. Regardless of who the president is or what country is being bombed,...
