I just downloaded Firefox and i have to say i am impressed. It has some great extensions, the all in one gestures thing is excellent. With some training that could become invaluable.

Its also enough like IE to make it usable from the start.
Cool recommendation!

I presume it's IE, but it's a BT customised one that magically appeared when we installed broadband, and seems to never have a status bar that works right.

I was using Opera for the longest time, but switched to Firefox. I was having trouble viewing some webpages on my computer with opera, like swedishmetal.net. I'm using opera right now and i'm all confused to which browser i should use, because firefox and opera are both good browsers.

AFAIK, it's not standalone browser - it's Internet Explorer extension.

I'm on a Mac. I only use Safari for browsing the web. I recently tried the Opera browser on Mac OS 9.2.2; Not at all satisfied. I didn't try the current version for OS X (I'm on 10.2.8).

basically, I'll do anything to avoid Internet Explorer.

I really fancy Opera. It's fast and reliable.
But sadly, the new All Music site only works properly with IE (or Necrosoft Nuclear Goat Explorer v.666, as the old Impaled Nazarene hompage prefered to call it... :P).

to be quite honest, as long as my browser does the job of loading up the sites I want to look at, and in a good enough way & speed, I'm none to plussed about what visual aesthetic it offers...
