I agree with that. As it has been said, when it comes to releasing material, he's one of the more consistent musicians out there at present, even if his styles go all over the place. Plus there are plenty of metal musicians who have written plenty of material that didn't get to release everything that they had wanted. I suppose the more albums you have under your belt, the more the fans (and perhaps the music industry) expect from you.

Dev definitely talks a lot and not all he says happens as he said it. I distinctly remember him describing Synchestra as one big orchestral song of 70 mins. Obviously it turned out differently.

I remember that interview, but I'm pretty sure it was Infinity he was talking about, not Synchestra

Lol he's said that about tons of albums over the years. Remember when the album was "The Mighty Masturbator" before it was the DTP?

It was Synchestra. I was not yet following Dev prior to Accelerated Evolution.

Babes, Devy is always like in love with his most recent work before it lands an audience. By then, he has already moved on. ;D

As for the DTP, I remember the Ki and one ep phase, but not it all being called TMM.

In that case, I'm pretty sure he said almost the same thing about Infinity too! x)

If this comes out in 2013, I wonder if it will be mid-year or later on? It's more than likely not going to be released before The Retinal Circus.

Given the lack of recent news, I'd say you are spot on, booky. Also, I kinda already projected that. :P

I read something in either a mag or on twitter whereby it maybe a rather long while before it gets released. Dev is being a lot more directed by the label and possibly manager of late and they realise that trying to capitalise of the momentum of Addicted, Deconstruction and Epicloud would be best at steadying the ground a bit than releasing some dark country album that he doesn't even sing on. I therefore suspect Z2 will be his next studio release and I don't believe too much has been done for that. Shame as I've been more excited by Casualities than anything since Physicist.

I know. As I have said before, the curse of success is that freedom really does go out the window (even though he swears up and down that it isn't going to be the case for him). Maybe I am just kinda morbid right now, but it would funny if Casualties became vapor....sound(?) like Ghost 2.

Indeedy it does. Makes me glad I branched out a lot more this year. If I depended solely on the Dev for the top tier entertainment, I might find myself a bit starved for a while. :O

That being said, I don't actually recall him ever saying he wouldn't be handling any vocal duties on Casualties.
