relax, it's a typo. The 'O' is right next to the 'I' on the keyboard. She's been on here for a long while and obviously knows his name.

I figured as much, But I've wanted to do one of those for a long time.
Internets-achievement ahieved!
This post should have contained more waffles!
how close are you to achieving 1000G's of internets gamerscore?
It depends on what the score is for each achievement. I haven't really had the time
to figure it out since inventing the whole ordeal in my last post. Sorry, I'm pretty lazy.

Seriously, if he wasn't worried, it would mean he wasn't challenging himself, or us as listeners. Putting out the same record repeatedly like some bands do is safe. Devon, in my eyes is the most honest musician around, and he's not going to do that. He experiments, and does what he feels. It's risky for him, and the fans, but it's totally worth it when it comes oft!
Interesting point you got here miss. But still, Devin never really seems confident about his music. He always seems to joke about it or just over-explain where he's at musically, which is fucking cool but I always perceive it as some kind of defensive-mechanism. Just me being somekind of Freudian dickhole.
But yeah ! Bonercloud !
All hail the new flesh
Judging by the video, sounds a bit like Addicted, but much more expanded.... or maybe an DTP-ish Synchestra. In the end it might be better to not draw comparisons, since it'll surely stand out on its own.
But am I the only one who didn't get a commercial vibe from it? Maybe Dev's perception of "commercial" is so awesome that it doesn't sound like it at all. But what if... stupid speculating impulses, just leave me alone!
Anyways, I'm stoked.

Even if Devin makes a completely commercially accessible album, it will still sound unique because it's a Devin album first and foremost. That's why the rabid fans still listen.

You're not the only one. Honestly, after Addicted (which is great, just for the record), I'm surprised Dev's worried about Epicloud as being perceived as too 'commercial' or 'pop' or whatever. I personally think he'd be hard-pressed to write a more infectious and poppy song than, say, Bend It Like Bender!, and people seemingly reacted to that just fine, so I don't think he has anything to worry about. I myself loved the music in the video (surprise surprise); it sort of struck me like Addicted and Deconstruction had a baby... Decon contributing the crunch and symphonic bombast, and Addicted, the pop sensibilities and more conventional song structures. Epicloud definitely seems to be it's own beast, though, which is what I'm happiest about - Dev keeps finding ways to reinvent himself as an artist without completely losing sight of what made him so great in the first place.
Oh, and the redone version of Kingdom sounded great - one more reason to get excited for September (which actually isn't all that far off)...
I want to hear moar! From the sound of it, this is gonna be THE album I always wanted to hear from Dev.
I wonder if he's gonna post the lyrics here? Though he hasn't been around in a while, hasn't he?

I don't think the music in the video is the "commercial" or "poppy" music he has been talking about. He said that half of the album is that way, and I'm guessing these songs are not all part of that half.
there was some straight-up metal in the studio vid!

Sounds like Devins fully utilised the choir this time, they sound very dominant in the mix so far, I'm digging it

well, indeed! awesome studio report. or let's call it a trailer. The music itself has an Accelerated Evolution vs. Deconstruction feeling to me. The choirs remind of Decon instantly and cumpolsory. Can't wait for the whole thing. What's the release date again?
