I too love that song! I've been listening to it over and over trying to figure out how he can make it better!

Impossible, surely?

Uh, add farts and tubas like he always does?

Can't imagine what he'll change apart from it being a much bigger sounding mix...and possibly without the long ambient bit at the end.

Given how much better the remastered version of Material on the Best Of compilation sounded, i'd have preferred he just did the same with Kingdom and stuck another new song on Epicloud instead. Of the two songs he's properly re-recorded so far Hyperdrive was cool, but i think i preferred the original and Om (which to be fair wasn't used on an album in the end) was great for the first 90 seconds or so but then just goes on and on and on and on in a loop. Never got that...surely a short intro-type version like he plays live would've made more sense.

But i'm wandering off topic...really can't wait for the album, but there's nothing new in that with Dev!

Uh... pretty sure it's going to be like the recent live version of Kingdom... in which he uses different singing styles than that of the Physicist version. :P DUUUUH.

Something Century Media (I think) put up for free download last year.
Tried finding something on the forum, but this was the closest I could find: viewtopic.php?f=70&t=10413

OOH That! I knew of that, I just didn't it was considered a best-of compilation and that they are remastered. I never bothered downloading the tracks because I already have them anyway.

EDIT: Right, I tried to download them, but the Facebook link doesn't seem to work and I don't have a Twitter account. Can anyone help me out on this one?

The live version of Kingdom on the Live in the USA 2010 EP is far superior to the Physicist version. It works so much better with the operatic vocals than with the half-growly style he was using back in the early days. Not hating on the growly vocals at all (they work really well in Regulator, for example), but Kingdom definitely needs a proper studio representation.

I'm just praying that it will be Dev on vocals, not Anneke like the Hyperdrive rejig. But I can't see why not, considering the universal love of the new vocal style of the live recordings of the song.

As a side note which I'm sure people have said before: Has anyone noticed that Dev seems to be doing a 'second' DTP?

Ki- Casualties of Cool
Addicted- Epicloud
Deconstruction- Z2
Ghost- Ghost 2 (maybe?)

On this I have pondered. Makes sense, really.

Yeah, someone pointed out something similar a few months ago. It's pretty striking.
Dev even mentioned he had something in the vein of Ghost "Planned" as well. :P

Each album by dev is diffrent, and so will be those new 4 albums.
They wont be DTP2, they will be something unique and diffrent :D
