Utterly unlike anything I have ever experienced before. I've seen classical stuff in a church before... But this venue was stunning. It was chilling, magical, and... haha... Stellar. There didn't seem to be a dry eye in the house, either... Just thinking back to that astoundingly long standing ovation we gave to Dev makes me well up a bit. A perfect, perfect way to end the four nights - and Watch You was a dream come true. Again, perfection in terms of the last song to be played- it has it all, it feels like a conclusion. I fucking had a heart attack at that cymbal crash too! I looked over and saw Steph did too! And well done to Matt who I think began the 2nd half of the 6? minute applause. It was dying down, then he was like, 'DEV! *clapclapclap*' which started it all up again.
Hazlitt was a wonderful opening act too, and also... TEA, ICE CREAM AND DEVIN TOWNSEND. Hoping that the taste of tea will bring me back to that gig again

An excellently English way to observe a gig. Mikes visuals were spellbinding too, though I didn't want to take my eyes off the guys on stage sometimes I was just being taken somewhere else by ghost... During one song, can't remember what, but the four of us in our spot (Louise, me Ruth and Cody) were all looking up at them for a good while.
Kat Epple was doing the female vocals, splendidly, and the many wind instruments throughout the night - don't think anyone mentioned that she sang a bit yet. The acoustics were haunting, they put you in another place... It's going to take me a long time to process these last few weeks. With all the exhaustion helping Violet, going to Damnation - all the early rises and late nights to get good spots - I'm drained mentally and physically... And meeting some of the most excellent people in the world. You guys all made it as awesome as it was as much as Dev did. The No Redemption guys were great to hang out with during the long queue wait, you guys are awesome and need to get KNOWN.
