When Dev says Protools sessions, he means actual Protools sessions. One of the disks will have two tracks on for remixing.

I would absolutely love to have the ProTools session of Juular with the scratch/whisper vocals. When I first heard it on the first Deconstrupdate, I was blown away.

That...will be amazing! I'd love to have a chance to fiddle with Supercrush! especially after seeing the protools skool video of it!

I'm always excited about a new Devin release. But in this case my excitement is tempered by the fact that of these eight discs, four will be discs that I can't get any other way, and four will be discs that I bought recently (two within the past month! and I went completely bonkers for the couple of weeks that the site said they were sold out!).

All the extras like packaging and the booklet would be really cool, yes, but I think I'd feel more "cheated" re-buying the DTP discs than I "privileged" for having that stuff. As for the most important thing in all of this - the new tracks - those will be incredibly entertaining and immensely essential, I am sure of that.

Whatever Devy does I'll just have to buy it. But I am still saying my prayers that there's a "cheap" version with the new material sold separately. Downloading is not an option! I need something "official". Whether an official option will exist, remains to be seen.

(yeah, I am the debbie downer who mentioned this to Devin on twitter)

Well, the boxset's been on the cards for a very long time, so you got the choice of buying it or not buying it :P It's gonna be expensive, but it's gonna be AMAZING.

thanks, I know... I realize it's a wonderful problem to have. still, "buying it or not buying it" isn't the choice I want. I'd much rather have the choice between an extravagant 8-disc package and a barebones set with just the new material."

Didn't Devin say "have it your way"?
