Hmmm. Not sure who that could have suggested something as awesome as that...

If I'm honest, I didn't understand why he ever stopped just releasing albums under simply 'Devin Townsend'. Not sure why one had to be a 'band' and one is a 'project'.

DTB was created as a band to contrast SYL, being his other band.
DTP was created as a 4-album concept, or project, as it were.
That's my understanding, at least.

How about just "Townsend"?

It's like the album art would have it like:
T O W N S E N D
stretched across the top.
