Everyone has universal truths, I just have more. I can't imagine living with little or no such beliefs, that wouldn't make much sense to me. I like to think devins track "truth" has some relation to this.

Lets not get personal or take things out of context now. No one mentioned anything about not caring for subtlety. I rarely play my music loud, but for your info I HAVE turned a lot of Devs muffled parts up to see if it makes more sense, and it doesn't to me. Not just because I can't hear it, but because it sounds like it's detracting from the production.
I make the distinction, there are plenty of quieter and sampled type moments dev has done that "work".... and there are plenty that don't.
