A prog. drummer would be a really refreshing move in my humble opinion. I'm inclined to think that all those kindsa guys are some of the most talented, given that they have to play in all kinds of off-the-wall time signatures, be extremely versatile in style and technique... all while making the song sound good and hang together.
There's a lot of heavy prog. out there, I'm sure there's someone out-there enough, who could also
own on Decon.

I bet he'd give it a try, though, and history has shown him to be interested in and comfortable with side projects and so forth.
There's the obligatory Mike Portnoy reference here. I think it would be interesting to see him in a project where he is really stretched, not just playing his usual stuff. I bet he's got a ton more juice in him than seems to appear in a lot of his projects.
Gavin Harrison is an interesting choice - I think he could pull it off. He can play... anything. Anything. I don't doubt that he could whip it out on something like Decon. No doubt he could handle the heavy stuff. And he plays around with a lot of people.
And Portnoy has one of the best double-kicks I've heard in a long while. And he can play the heavy stuff as well.
With that being said, any new developments or decisions made, Devin?
