OK guys...getting back into this here...been setting up and moving to do Addicted, I start rehearsals tommorow.

So I looked through the pages and it's incredibly touching...but also intimidating, Reverbnations sight was a stimulus overload, and in terms of street teaming, it's confusing.

Here's my thoughts:

I want to do as much as possible, but theres only so much time in a day...What could I provide you guys? Some free music? Some first run ticket stuff? PDFs of flyers? Stickers? On line concerts?

I'm down with anything man, music is life and the internet is the only way to fly...whatever is a current forum to get the music out there, I'm in.

I have so much to do musically that it's hard for me to do a great job at the promo side, Maybe some of you could be supervisors and I could provide you stuff...I don't know, but I'm open for suggestions, and it would be great to just start it all up this week.

Any thoughts? I'm heading to the studio now, I'll be back tonight...working on the myspace, but it's my first time, and it's a little confusing...I'll get it though...myspace should be really cool in about a week.

Also...

Somebody else has taken myspace.com/devintownsend I contacted hime to ask if I could have it back, but didn't get a reply...is there some sort of protocol? Or am I just out of luck...

What else is there...Facebook, Twitter? I know not such things...

What exactly would qualify you as part of a street team though?
It seems like a hard thing to really keep track of.

Or is that list just saying "hey I'm spreading the word and this is where I am" ?

honestly man, i'm so appreciative that you're looking out for your fans, i really gotta say i'm impressed with how you're doing things and i really have to thank you.

the new myspace is great and i cant wait for even more additions. i wouldn't worry about facebook if i were you, and i (personally) don't care about twitter, just because you're giving us plenty of daily and more flexible updates here on the forum.

promo wise man, the concept of online concerts sounds really cool to me.

As far as the URL with myspace, I'm not really sure how that works.
I imagine if its a fanpage of your work you could get them to take it down considering it is your material.
Though I don't know if you could get the URL from the page, or how that would work.

Ever thought about making an iPhone app for your music/projects? I'm about to begin learning to develop for the platform.

some other band had an app made, that among other things, had all of their music available on it. cost three bucks

I don't really know what street teaming implies work-wise, but I'm totally up for being a supervisor. Fliers definitely sound like a good idea. And yes, I think there is some official way to make someone give up your name on myspace...but I deleted my account years ago, and I don't know what it is.

All I know is I want to help spread the word about Devin's music and im willing to do this by any means possible, pdf's of flyers sound cool that people could print off aswell as any stickers or little promo cards/cd's with a track or two. Im up for spreading these around the southwest of England, I currently attend one of the best music college's in the southwest and there are plenty of proficient contacts there I could speak to about spreading and giving these out too. Whatever your thoughts are on this Dev I don't mind helping out in any way really. But judging from the amount of fans on this forum that are from the Uk I think your pretty well known here already :P

If someone could explain what exactly the list is, that would be great.

Is it people who joined the Facebook group?
Or is it just people saying they're going to spread the word in their area?

Free music, fliers, stickers, posters--it all can work. I'd be willing to do any sort of distribution/word-spreading depending on what you can manage.

There are plenty of selling points, and torrents of stuff to be excited about. I think a sample on the myspace (or even facebook--a lot of potential to reach there) would be good to supplement posters and fliers. I live in a college town, so a "check out this music online" flier/poster/sticker goes a long way. A youtube "concert" could go pretty damn far, too.

Keep the music up and we can help you spread it all over the place.

Also, I'm willing to be a supervisor, although I'm not sure who I'd supervise...
