Interesting too that the next song on Ziltoid is The Greys, while the next line in Voices In the Fan reads:

I'll remember the most
It's the grey times in the water

I do enjoy referring back to the past and I'm interested in people's thoughts on this particular example?

Do you think he used the lyrics from "Wrong Side" and "Voices in the Fan" for the fans sake, or because he wanted to re-use them in a different context in order to re-energize their meaning? The Dev has been known to apparently not like reworking or updating previously completed songs, so maybe including the specific lyrics is a way to give their meaning new life without remixing his old tunes.

I think it's probably just a bit of fan service.

Hmmm ... could be. I'd love to find out exactly why he used past references in this track. I still don't know if the Greys reference is deliberate but it would be a startling coiincidence ifit wasn't.

Maybe you're all (again) over-analyzing things and the only correct answer is "It just sounds right".

Art can be a spontaneous and instinctual thing you know...doubt there was much reasoning behind this.
