For those of you who don't know yet, Syd Barrett died on 09/07/06, and for those of you who have been living under a rock for the past 40 years, Syd Barrett is former, somewhat estranged frontman and founding member of Pink Floyd. A simple google search will give you all the details you need.

Its very sad, he was truly amazing.

The man was such a genius, and you can hear his influence in so many of my favorite musicians today. Piper at the Gates of Dawn is, without a doubt in my mind, the best that Pink Floyd ever did.

RIP Syd, you'll be sorely missed.
