City, but first DT album, Infinity.

First I bought was Synchestra, Dev albums are really hard to come by. Although I have now bought Synchestra, Terria, Alien, SYL, HAARHT, and City.

i actually bought Physicist and Ocean Machine as my first purchases but Physicist was my first choice 'cause it reminded me of strapping

I'd just started college and these guys were sat round a tape recorder listening to what I eventually learned was Ocean Machine.... I couldn't believe something could be that heavy and melodic at the same time.

Needless to say, I've followed GOD for quite a long time now and for me everything he does is brilliant - a true genius!

Ocean... is still my fave though. Just captures a time and place in my life that was, well, is one awesome and magical set of memories!!

My first one was Ocean Machine. Which was followed by, Infinity, HAARHT, City, Alien, Physicist, Terria, Synchestra, SYL and Accelerated Evolution.
And only one month to The New Black. Yeah

I first heard Detox on a sampler CD from a Canadian metal mag (Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles). I immediately went out and bought City.
Biomech was the next Dev album I bought.

My first one was Terria.
It sure took some time to grow on me.
Before I started to love Dev's music, I listened mostly to Steve Vai.

I went to my favourite Cd store and the owner gave me a copy of Infinity... "You'll love it. Check it out!". I looked at that crazy cover with that guy naked and thought "Oh God... What the fuck is it?".

I can imagine your first reaction. The cover IS kinda.. funny .

I got Ocean Machine back in 1999, I first heard about SYL on a local music proogram down here which played "Detox". After getting into SYL I found out Dev had some side projects and that's how it all started.

I still need to pick up the Bootlegs, I've been waiting 8 years to get it.

Ocean Machine for me........but my first Dev experiance was Strapping´s "HAARHT"

I bought Ocean Machine around the time of Infinity but been a Dev fan since Sex and Religion so yeah I would say SAE is my first Dev album.

Terria. A friend of mine told me where to buy it (cost 11€) and I bought it because it was "cheap". I was a into SYL already but Dev's solos was a bit too emotional to me ( Life and Seventh wave was the first taste of dev's solos) 'cause I was a tr00 metal warrior back then So I had no good reason to buy it. I just did.
I didn't listen to it right away 'cause I thought it would suck anyway. And I was really depressed. Took me over 6months to like it. Now it's my favourite album.

So I had no good reason to buy it. I just did.

If you haven't noticed this before, I'm an idiot But lucky one.

A friend bought OM and Terria, but didn't like them. They ended up in my hands and I've been listening to them since. Now that I think about it the only DT or SYL cd I've ever bought was the Infinity 4 demo cd... all the rest have been given to me by various people.
