I saw that coming, but I expected it sooner.

I thought it was ironic that Lopez was best on Damnation, seeing as he is a (self-proclaimed) death metal drummer.

It's sad to see him go, but I don't think the band will change much. Akerfeldt is the creative force behind most of Opeth's material.

It was all but official since they went on their north-american tour last summer, though.
