Why hasn't anybody mentioned Robert Fripp? The man is a genius.

Well... I've only got one album of his, and that's a collaboration with Brain Eno (Equatorial Stars), but it's still excellent.

He also made collaboration with The Orb, it's called FFWD. My bro has it somewhere.
