Normally I can think of a few little bits to get him, but not this year so far I've thought of one cd, but my family will probably want to give him that ..and want some more ideas from me

I'm going to get my dad a Dremel for his birthday. That way, presents will never be a problem again, just get him some of the 1454524565 available accessories for the thing

That depends on the tool and what he likes to do. If he's a wood worker and he has been waiting for the top of the line rotary drill, then you should get him that.

But, I see what you mean. I thought it would be a good idea to get my wife a top of the line slow cooker from William Sonoma. It was not as big a hit as the Cuisinart coffee maker I got her for Xmas. I guess because she's basically the only person that drinks coffee but everybody eats from the slow cooker. Oh well.
