So, I was wondering if we could do a post like this. You post an album you have heard from an artist/band, and you'd like to find more albums from the artist/band that are just as good. Others will post a few albums (or album order which to purchase in) of other good albums from them.

So, I'll start. I have:

Kyuss - Welcome to Sky Valley

Coroner - Mental Vortex

What albums from those two (separately) you would recommend next? :)

Kyuss! This is THE BAND!!!

My 2 cents:

Tom Waits - Real Gone

The Ocean - Fluxion

Zao - Liberate Te Ex Inferis (Save Yourself From Hell)

Anyways, go buy "...And The Circus Leaves Town" with Kyuss...

my favourite Kyuss album...

If you like Kyuss, check out CREEP!
They don't have an album as they're only still a local sydney band. They're somewhat soundgardenish/toolish/danzigish/kyuss

I dug this band because it reminded me of Kyuss. When I met them I asked about Kyuss and they were like, "who?". Their lead singer Crispy now owns all their albums.

I'd say that any Kyuss fan should get into Monster Magnet if they haven't already. Nowdays ey are very much a rock band but you should check out Spine of God, Superjudge and Dopes to Infinity for some seriously rockin sludge.

Godly album!!! Up there with Neurosis for best sludge ever.

Ever!!!

I like Swarm of the Lotus too, although they're more energetic/intense

With Tom Waits, I'd say a good 2nd purchase would be Rain Dogs and/or Swordfishtrombomes - both are classics. If you want to try out his early 'Jazz Barfly' phase, I'd throughly recommend "Nighthawks at the Diner', an incredible live album. Happy listening - Waits rocks!
