I'm really not looking forward to when I start calling family members by every other family member/pets name before reaching the correct one...this seems to happen at some point after becoming a mother

HAHA!. I'm not even gonna go here.

I will relay a quote from my daughter that pretty much sums it up:

"Wow..that IS really old dad...was it built in the 80's?"

it's my memory basically that's really fucked up. I wanna do something and one minute later I ask myself what the hell I wanted to do, things like that.

Now I'd really like to read Dave's comment :D

I'm 26; wrong side of 25. Sometimes when I teach students they are only 18 years old. 8 fucking years younger than me! It seemed like only yesterday that I started university and now look at me! A washed-up 26 year old spending his twilight years posting on an internet forum.

When my favorite music growing up is now heard on the "classic rock" station, in T.V. commercials and worst of all as musack in the grocery store.

When you no longer look forward to becoming a year older (like you did as a child).

And your birthday is just another day.

When you don't feel like partying and getting drunk every weekend. I'm only 23 too.

Hell I have grey hairs coming out of my ears. I feel wiser than I did, smarter too, if that is physiologically possible, than I was when I was 18 (now I am an old man at 28).

I think a good example of realizing myself getting older is when I look through some of the poetry I wrote in highschool. Yuck!

Lately I've been remembering the draft date for almost every athlete that's been retiring lately from professional sports or is about to.

I also have some grey hairs on my chin, but they're pretty well hidden.
