Okay, so, i feel like the worlds biggest party pooper posting a thread like this when it's almost new years eve, but hey, you people are the only ones i trust to have some intelligent view on this subject

how do you guys handle expectations?
When you want something, and if you keep hope in it till the end, and it doesn't happen for some crappy reason that could even be totally removed with a little bit of effort, or then again, something that just shouldn't NOT work; how do you react?

i have a big problem with that, i must admit, i can't handle them very well. I try to keep 0% expectation on stuff because of that, but sometimes i just can't, and then it just doesn't work out, and it fecks me up.

What about you guys?

I can't say I've ever had to deal with it on a major level really, only minor things.

I think with anything major, there is no quick fix, you just have to wait till you get over it...I think it is pretty true that time is the best healer

Being a weather forecaster, I've learned LONG ago that "expectations" can bite you in the but. So, here's my hopefuls:

We get the hell out of Iraq in a safe and prudent manner, and let the peoples of Iraq govern themselves. If I have to see one more video of a someone getting beheaded or see a woman bloodied I may just scream.

A VERY tranquil hurricane season. We get it, God, you're pissed. Please stop.

Another bumper crop year for music. 2005 almost felt like 1986...I hope 2006 is like 1984. (Most of you probably have no idea what I mean...It means great records.)

Here's to laughing my ass of s'more to some of the posts I see in here. YOU guys kill me, and a lot of you are very literate and articulate...my likey.

Being a butt biter, I've learned to never expect weather forecasters in Florida to say anything other than "Hunker down" from August through October.
