I'll go with Demanufacture as well, it's just an all around great piece of music.
Obsolete comes in second, and I'll also second how 0-0 Where Evil Dwells is awesome to have on there. They do a great job covering that song and making sure to keep that long live the new flesh part in it always makes me happy.

everything else they've done is either the same, or just worse.

Never got into the old stuff, each record has it's good songs, as a whole listenable album I'd say Archetype.
I think I have to say Demanufacture is my favourite.
I remember hearing Replica and Dogday Sunrise waaaay back in '95 and thought they were really good songs. Then they toured the UK with Ozzy Osbourne (he ate the head off an old lady you know *sigh* ). They were signing stuff at Missing Records in Glasgow and some of us went to see them. I still remember Burton saying "cool shirt", about my My Dying Bride shirt I had on at the time...and yes, I'm almost certain it was sarcasm!
We then heard that album and it was fucking loud and fucking fast and listened to it until the plastic almost wore off the disc!!! :D:D
So Demanufacture does it for me, pounding loud songs and I'm about to burn that album to my PC as I haven't heard it in aaaaaages!

i know cut it should have been on the actual album, maybe that instead of dog day sunrise
Agreed! A much better song! Dog Day Sunrise actually sparked an argument between me and my then girlfriend, which led to us splitting up.
I'm not blaming Fear Factory directly for us splitting up or anything, but she liked that song and I was still trying to come to terms with FF not sounding death metal anymore (I was an ignorant "true metal" fan back then) and somehow the discussion escalated into an enormous argument about our entire relationship!!!
Ahh... at least I can laugh about it now
Can I deprive my brain of oxygen?!
