For me it's not so much as following Dev but going on a similar journey with him. Being old (ish, 37), less angry and having a different persepective on life after having my little boy, heavy music isn't something I need anymore, I still want it - it's just that I don't
need it. What Dev allows me to do is listen to music at all the different stages of my life without having to specifically change artists/genres to do so. Don't get me wrong I don't just listen to Dev but his music has always been honest and incredibly emotional which is something very hard to find in any genre/artist. To have the luxury of being able to enjoy that honesty and emotion as I and my musical tastes change is awesome.
