lol...no no, you´re not getting on my nerves at all and you´re right. The big problem about HR3 was probably the fact that the director was a crappy one. The story was kinda OK but the whole thing was just not done well. The Cenobites don´t really look great either. I mean...WTF did they think when they created that Cameraman Cenobite dude? Or that Cenobite called "CD"??? Those were more like Cyborgs but made damn pityful Cenobites. They could have done a way better job and maybe it really was time for some more special effects...but in that case they screwed it up a little. And I just miss the whole deep and creepy atmosphere that surounded HR1 and 2. BUT, I´m pretty sure that Hell on Earth is a motherfucking BLOCKBUSTER compared to Bloodline...not to forget about the Hellraiser B-movies that were done recently (Inferno, Hellseeker, etc.)
You know, at this point, I'm not even sure I saw HR3! I know I saw 1 for sure. I saw it in the theater! I'm OG like that! . And, I saw HR2 several times as well. But, I don't know if I saw any of the others. I think I was too disappointed by #2 to inflict any of the others on myself. Heck, I was disappointed with Lord of Illusions, as well.
But, you're right. A bad director doesn't have the right vision and makes bad decisions. That kills even a good script or idea in a heartbeat.
