lol...no no, you´re not getting on my nerves at all and you´re right. The big problem about HR3 was probably the fact that the director was a crappy one. The story was kinda OK but the whole thing was just not done well. The Cenobites don´t really look great either. I mean...WTF did they think when they created that Cameraman Cenobite dude? Or that Cenobite called "CD"??? Those were more like Cyborgs but made damn pityful Cenobites. They could have done a way better job and maybe it really was time for some more special effects...but in that case they screwed it up a little. And I just miss the whole deep and creepy atmosphere that surounded HR1 and 2. BUT, I´m pretty sure that Hell on Earth is a motherfucking BLOCKBUSTER compared to Bloodline...not to forget about the Hellraiser B-movies that were done recently (Inferno, Hellseeker, etc.)

You know, at this point, I'm not even sure I saw HR3! I know I saw 1 for sure. I saw it in the theater! I'm OG like that! :D . And, I saw HR2 several times as well. But, I don't know if I saw any of the others. I think I was too disappointed by #2 to inflict any of the others on myself. Heck, I was disappointed with Lord of Illusions, as well.

But, you're right. A bad director doesn't have the right vision and makes bad decisions. That kills even a good script or idea in a heartbeat.

So what do you guys think of Bloodline? I think it was a huge step up considering the low of HR3, you got to know more about the history of the box, which I really liked.

I´ve seen it 4 or 5 years ago and only once but I don´t think I really liked it. Though I wanna watch it again because I can´t remember it a lot anymore. I think I remember that the whole story happened in the future on a spaceship or something like that. I remember that I didn´t like the fact that Pinhead wasn´t played by Doug Bradly in that movie. But like I said, I wanna watch it again and might even buy the English Version because that one is rather cheap and it won´t bother me then if it´s not a super fantastic movie. I remember though that I really liked the Angelique Cenobite and the Twins looked pretty cool too. Anyways, have you or has anyone else here seen Hellseeker or Infero? I didn´t really hear anything good about those 2.

What do you mean? It was Doug Bradley. He's the only person that has starred in all six Hellraiser movies.

As for the movies, I've seen them all. As the first four have been discussed here, I'll talk of the others. Inferno is a pretty good movie, if you don't watch it as a Hellraiser movie. Hellseeker is a bit weaker one, but it was nice to see Kirsty again.

Btw, Clive is thinking about killing Pinhead once and for all in a new chapter of his Book of Blood:

yes...you´re right, it is Doug Bradley. I mixed that up. There was a different female Cenobite in HR2, that´s what I didn´t like about HR2, so I mixed that up with HR4. That female Cenobite in HR2 looks totally different than the one in HR1 (which I think was Clive Barker´s cousine actually). But still I didn´t like Bloodline much at the time I watched it. Like I said, it was quite a while ago and I wanna watch it again.

Edit: And it´s interesting that you say that Inferno is a good movie because I really didn´t hear much good about it. Actually I read in most reviews that Hellseeker is better so I guess I just have to see them myself. And there will be two more...Deader and Hellworld. I think it´s not bad that Barker wants Pinhead to die. I think after 8 Hellraiser movies, a last 9th one will be totally fine. And thank god there will be no Michael Myers vs. Pinhead. I love both characters but this whole vs.-thing starts to suck...what´s next? Gremlins vs. Critters? lol

Inferno was really really weak in my opinion, didn´t have the creepy feeling from the first two (my favs) at all. Hellseekers was better but still not good. Kirsty returned which was kind of cool, but nothing beats the first two movies.

I just tried to find some info about the upcoming 2 Hellraiser movies Deader and Hellworld. I read that Hellworld is about a group of hackers that open the gates to hell with a virtual Lament Configuration....lol  WTF??? When I read such "brilliant" plots, it´s maybe really about time for Pinhead to die. But then again that doesn´t ultimately mean that the Hellraiser Saga dies too. I didn´t read much about Deader but it´s supposed to have at least some gore scenes, although that of course doesn´t mean anything. I for my part would really love to see an animated Hellraiser movie, that would rock.

It's bad if you watch it as a Hellraiser movie. If you watch it as an independent movie, without any thought of the Hellraiser series, then it's a very nice movie :)

By the way, for those who don't know, it was Clive Barker himself dancing nude in "the Forbidden". I'll try to find the interview with his comments on that for a source.

Don't you feel such a bigger fan now?

EphelDuath666 wrote:so I recently bought the Hellraiser Lament Configuration Box set and of course it rules and stuff. But yesterday I chekced the Bonus DVD for the first time and watched Clive Barker´s early short movie called "The Forbidden" and I was a bit...let´s say...surprised to see a guy dancing around nude, having a boner for about 10 or 15 minutes. Maybe I have the sense of humor of a 12 year old but I pretty much laughed my ass off like crazy. I swear, the camera is pointed at that nude guy (not sure but I think it´s actually Doug Bradly) for at least 10 minutes without any other scene in between and he´s dancing around with a boner. So my question is has anyone seen that too? What the hell is that short movie supposed to mean? (especially the boner scene...please, someone explain!!! lol) And aren´t Hellraiser 1 and 2 some kick ass movies? (Yes, I´m kinda bored btw, in addition to that I´m tired)

I always though Barker was gay, but wasn't sure. Then I read Sacrament. Yep, totally gay. His graphic depictions of gay sex actually made me a bit sick. Only a gay man could write that shit. The dude has lost it. He was on top of his game with Hellraiser, and his fantasy novels, but he sucks now. Starting with Sacrament it's been all homo-erotica first and foremost, the story is secondary...and has pretty much sucked. I'll not be checking out the boner movie.

I could never dance for 10 minutes with a boner.

If it makes you feel more manly, it isn't FULLY erect by the looks of it. Kinda floppy.

It'll only make me feel better if it's really small. Smaller than mine.
