Only reason Keith Richards can be still alive from boozing is that he must have become pickled.

I gotta say the stones. Both bands brought some amazing music to the table, but it was the Stones who really brought the attitude among the two of them, which I feel has had a similar influence on the music industry as a whole.

The Who bore me... They are NO COMPETITION to The Beatles. Only their sixties stuff is worth a listen.... Armenia, etc...

I'll be honest, I'd take the Who over either.

The Beach Boys were sublime genius. Ala The Beatles.

Beatles, without even doubting for one second.
The Beatles are one of the most influential bands of ALL time. I can't name one band, which doesn't have influences of the Beatles in their music.
And besides that, come on, their compositions and arrangements were just superb. Ticket To Ride, Lucy In The Sky, Hey Jude, Sgt. Pepper's.... These songs are brilliant in my eyes, and it's going to be quite some time, until there will be a band that writes better arrangements than that.

But still.. in the end, again, it's all a matter of taste. So if you like the Rolling Stones better, it doesn't matter.

Yes, it's all about the Beatles songwritign and arrangements. Their production was supreme also, but that is a sidenote compared to their songs. Most casual Beatles fans would not have even heard the real gems!

Things We Said Today, You Won't See Me, Because, Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite, Long Long Long, She's Leaving Home, I'll Be Back, Fool on the Hill, Nowhere Man... so many others.
