My favorite is Ocean Machine, but i voted for Infinity to increase its count. This album is amazing, and i'd say it's a very diverse work, as opposed to "random" like some people think it is.

Truth and Bad Devil shouldn't be on an album together??? No, actually, they COULDN't be on any other album!!

And even though OM and Terria have more "flow", Infinity works perfectly as a whole album. The transitions are just less "listener-friendly" and that's the point of this beast.

I've just gotten into Devin Townsend's music, but I think I like Ocean Machine the best, with terria close behind.

Does anyone else think that Infinity is lightyears better than AE? It's odd that they're so close...

Perhaps, but thats the point of this poll...to see what people in general think, not what individual people think. I do prefer Infinity, but to compare the two is not fair.

It's all good.

Yes, I feel that it is indeed LIGHTYEARS ahead of AE.... but hey.... It's all good. There are still some top moments on AE.

...except from Infinity.

This thread is beyond a joke... I can't believe so many Devy fans lack the imagination to realize how far ahead Infinity is from all of the rest of them.

Dito. It would still be OK if Infinity was at the second place or something. But the only album that got less votes than Infinity is Physicist!! I don't get it.

Haha, music is subjective man.

If it weren't for a few songs like Bad Devil, Colonial Boy and Noisy Pink Bubbles, and just some of the other less than appealing moments in a few songs (To be honest, I find some of it to be very self indulgent), I might agree that Infinity is his best album, but those songs I mentioned take away from the grand picture IMO. Truth and Dynamics are masterpeices though.

I honestly think Ocean Machine is his best album, cause it just flows from opening note to last, all while keeping my attention through the whole experience. The biggest guage of a good album is the way it makes you feel during and after the listening experience though, and Ocean Machine just had the biggest emotional impact on me of all of the Devy albums.
