Went snowboarding today for the first time this season and Im just wondering who else here takes part in the winter activities?
I used to snowboard alot at a dry slope in rossendale. I have a H R Giger board which i only paid £125 for. Although at some point this year there is supposed to be a ski centre opening near where i live. Hail Hockey Hail snowboarding.
J'ai d'autres loups à fouetter !!! - Haywire Lycanthropy!!!
Neither. Why? Because I can't be arsed, I don't have the time, I don't live in Switzerland and not with my knees.

I've snowboarded once and only once...
I really took to it, not to say I was good, HARDLY! But I really wanted to get into it. In fact, I nearly moved to Canada but other circumstances arose, more access to snowboarding was one of the reasons why I wanted to move.
Anyway, I'd love to get more into it but Australian snow bites. Its cheaper to go to snowboarding in NZ than it is to go to in australia for a week. There's so little snow that people pay top scratch. NZ has far superior snow and so much more of it.
I had a friend who chased winter for 7 years, instructing all over the world. He had some gooood stories.

Nah, don't know it.
What is this "snow" to which you refer?

Its like water but harder and colder. Its a delicacy in Australia.
I've never tried either, but I think it would be interesting to do so . Having seen the second Bridget Jones film, I think I'll abandon the skiing idea and maybe stick to the snowboarding...
I try to stay inside as much as I can during the winter so....neither!

Lots of Aussies move to Whistler, BC, Canada for the winter in order to ski and snowboard. Its funny every other person you talk to there has an Australian accent.
