you see, that was never the point. People can believe what they want to but when it affects the lives of all people, it seriously is not OK. Imagine you are in love with someone who happens to be the same sex as you and someone tells you you shouldn´t be allowed to get married because your way of love is a perversion...and let´s say that man is in power and will change the constitution so every door for you to ever be completely equal is closed. See, that´s the point. As long as you´re not part of the minority yourself, you don´t think about it or care about it much but I certainly do because I certainly wouldn´t want anyone to close any doors for me that could change my life negatively like that. Bush certainly is not able to open his mind at all in that case. I´m sorry that I´m stuck on that issue so much but sometimes it is just difficult for me to believe that we´re really living in the 21st century.

I never understood why everything had to be fit into a neat little category.
It irritates the shit out of me. Nothing personal. I just wish that if anyone were going to explain anything at all, they would explain WHY in hell it is so important that people be classified into groups? Why is music classified into tiny little subgroups? I don't even know what the hell I would be classified as nor do I have any desire to break it down to figure it out.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's horrible having to categorize yourself when someone comes up to you and asks about your music-style, political views, favorite movies. It's been going on for ages. It's probably people's urge to control and know everything.

Labelling is good becos it makes things understandable.

If we can't categorise things anymore I think we shouldn't call music music anymore. Instead, we should just call it sound. Because why should one sound be labelled music, and other sounds not, that's stupid. Absurd example I know, but it delivers the point.

I ran the A/V at the Australian Electoral Commission's 2004 Visitors Programme the week before Australia yet again proved itself to be a pissant white-trash fuckhole by voting HoWARd in again, and I was utterly bewildered by the overwhelming view of the international visitors on this issue. The vast majority believed that compulsory voting is wrong, and threw questions at us like "How can you call yourselves a democracy if you force people to vote?".

Australians are every bit as apathetic as Americans, and I would have thought that extremely low voting numbers in the States, combined with the fuck-up governments being voted in because the only people with the motivation to vote are the brainwashed fuckwits would have been reason enough!

I've fucking had it with Australia... I'm truly sick of this conservative 75%-American half-breed society and I need out. I reckon New Zealand is the way to go... Voting is not compulsory in New Zealand, yet they maintain 85% voter participation, AND they have a female Prime Minister - Can you imagine how far off that is in Australia and the United States??
