Yaaaaas, this album delivers on the epic, despite the leak being an unmastered "poopy mess" as Ziltoid would say. I love the shit out of War Princess and Rejoice is a perfect opener.

The cd that I´ve been listening to has Anneke singing the verse.
So there´s no "third version" like I first thought, just two different promos.

You're right Violet, it's not
I'm only here to meet Jack Charlton anyway...
Also, just throwing this out there: Sky Blue wees all over Epicloud. All over it

I´m confuzzled.
Sky Blue is really starting to grow on me despite the poor quality rip. Before We Die sounds absolutely amazing with the choir.
I haven't really decided how I feel about Sky Blue in relation to Epicloud yet, but I definitely feel like it's at least more focused in its sound.

Yeah, Dark Matters is immediately likable, and so far it's dominating my listening time. I have a feeling that Sky Blue will grow on me more after I've burned myself out on Dark Matters. Casualties was like that for me, too. It's not that I didn't like it, but it took a few spins before it really clicked with me.
Sky Blue could really be titled Epicloud 2. But this one is a better album.
Dark Matters, after listening for a month I still can´t get into it. Not enough good songs, it´s just massive.
Massive and epic for the sake of being massive and epic.
As much as I love Devs wall of sound, I think he overdid it this time. Kinda difficult to tell what´s going on. And yeah, it´s the cd that I´m listening to.
Not bad in any way, just a bit mediocre by Devs standards.
Still ordered the 3cd box and the clear vinyl from inside out, of course! So glad that I got one of the clear vinyls! Only 100 copies made.
I guess my point is that after at least 30 listens the album is still growing on me.

No way man, it wizzes all over Epicloud.
The only track on Dark Matters that isn't really doing much for me at the minute is Ziltoidian Empire, the rest is great.
Sky Blue is slowly growing on me, I have to agree with some other posters, it's conquering over Epicloud.
I think those who preferred 'Epiclouder' to 'Epicloud' will like 'Sky Blue.' I think the vibes are similar, even though 'Epiclouder' isn't a true album.
People expecting 'Dark Matters' to be a continuation of the first Ziltoid album will probably be taken aback. IMO, you can't jump straight from the first Ziltoid to Z². It is a full reboot, not a sequel. It is a culmination of everything that happened from ZTO until the present, music-wise. 'Dark Matters' is more soundtrack than a collection of songs. It is so well done. My only complaint is there isn't enough actual Ziltoid.
