Had a quick listen to the Amazon previews and I have mixed feelings about the Kingdom snippet. Production sounds fantastic. But the operatic vocals are a bit over the top for my liking.

That's my favorite part! I became a Dev fan because of his voice, and the more extreme and crazy he gets with it, I love it. Probably because it is something I've always wished I could do, but can't sing for shit. lol

Same here, I initially became a fan of SYL and Dev back in the day because of his voice. Just not the heavy vibrato!

I'm happy to be in a minority of one, but I'll always prefer his clean vocals less wobbly.

That said, I can't wait to hear Kingdom redone. Always been a favourite song of mine and I'll probably never get a fully redone Fizzy so this will do for now!

I agree with that, while it works in places like the climax of Ki, I much prefer the vocal style of the original recording.

Yeah, I was pretty unimpressed with that, too. I have always tried to buy the deluxe-est version of whatever Dev puts out but I don't know that I want a DTP teddy bear. Now, if that was a stuffed Ziltoid... SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!

Yeah, I'm gonna avoid the teddy bear pre-orders. I already have a stuffed Twilight Sparkle, and once I have two stuffed animals, I will officially have a collection going and that's just not where I want to be at this point in my life.
