Isn't that kind of like eating a big mac and complaining it was greasy?

Part of me wants to save it until I go to Sweden because that would be *perfect* but that's friggin mid-late July. I listened to Decon on my birthday, today was my last official day of school (next is uni) so it also seems a celebratory thing.

Glad Ghost leaked after Decon, though. Leaked in the right order! Woo!

Also, where was that A Monday reference in Decon? Planet Of The Apes? (just an aside)

Just finished my second year in uni. Have a fucking blast.

Thanks dude. I totally will. Imperial, London, geophysics :P

This album might have to grow on me, the soundscape in general is a bit strange, not quite what I was expecting. I can only describe it as "cotton wool" or "too rounded", but I think I was expecting the pristine clarity we've got on Ki.

I think you really need to give any album a few listens before forming a strong opinion on it. Expectations can kind of kill an experience on the first couple listens, and most of the time I think they're a detriment to enjoying new music.

You're probably right. I'm completely retarded when it comes to music appreciation, I go straight for production and melody on tracks that I like instantly, whilst other tracks I slowly grow to love if I give them enough of a chance and listen to them over and over again.

Addicted was an instant hit with me, whereas it took a very good pair of headphones with extremely good bass definition for Ki to grow on me.

Having said all that, I was hooked on Synchestra when I first heard it all those years ago..

EDIT: Oh, I haven't mentioned lyrics. I rarely ever, every pay attention to lyrics themselves, a voice is just another instrument with both percussive and melodic elements.
