Is it just me, or are there lyrics here that aren't listed in the Ghost Lyrics thread? I feel like there's a whole verse missing from Feather, and there's a few other instances where there's vocals underneath the main lyrics, and they're definitely saying words that aren't listed in the lyrics.

just noticed the vocal melody in the "All I'll ever think about is you" part in Feather (1:10) is the same vocal melody from the "take your inhibitions going home" part in Awake. awesome.

I've had one listen in the car on the way home from work and it doesn't work for me in that environment. It all blends together with the road noise cancelling out the subtlety.

I can't wait to sit back with my headphones and give it a real chance.

And yet it's the first rainy day here in months. Oh god, oh god, what should I do...

I had sort of been expecting a more stripped back feel, like the acoustic shows he was doing. This is pretty layered and ethereal, I'm not sure I prefer it yet.

Compare the working version of Heart Baby on the acoustic shows to the album version. Those acoustic versions are haunting...

Not that I don't dig the album. I'm just adjusting from my expectations.

It's so hard to believe that this came out of the same mind as Deconstruction did. Ghost is all I ever wanted from music. In short, blah blah blah Devin you're an utter genius blah blah blah. :-P

I know that Devin's albums need some time to grow, but Ghost is the first i find really hard to listen to two times in a row without getting over-bored... Not getting it at all. I don't think i ever liked a Dev-track less than "Ghost" (the song) at the first time listening to it (first thing on my mind: "i hate country"). But probably that means the album will become my favorite some time... Maybe i should try less hard. Not criticizing anything, just my feelings after two and a half listens.

This is nearly what my first impression is. I was hoping for a more stripped down acoustic album without such a landscape of sounds. Something else I've also noticed is that his voice really sounds drowned out to me in Ghost. I REALLY enjoy his clean vocals and would have loved to hear more of his voice soaring over top of the landscape of music and sounds.

Weird, this is my all time favourite Devy record, but Devin did say that it would split peoples opinions

Haha, I hate country as well.. but somehow it works, to my ears. And I'm certainly not one to like it 'just because' it's Devin Townsend.

In my posting above i meant the song Ghost and it's country style rhythm. In Blackberry it's less annoying for me. But again, don't get me wrong, i don't want to judge the songs after a short impression.
