Fans contribute, and buy a "share" in the recording, essentially, they actually own a piece of the music. Public Enemy used it, they were aiming for $250 000 to make their next record, got $75 000... Still, that amount of cash would go a loooong way towards the next project.

Holy balls, 250,000 dollars? We could make 100+ records with that, lol. Less awesome sounding maybe, but still.

Yeah, but Ghost has been out there probably as long as Deconstruction has, and it just hasn't leaked yet.

Ghost tracks have in or around 50 listeners on LastFM for quite some time now. It's probably just that people are actually being clever this time around and keeping the music to themselves if they've got it.

I haven't had a good night's sleep since I heard Deconstruction. It has only made me want to hear Ghost even more. I'm not sure if it will be my favorite, but it might be the most important for me. I hate cliffhanger endings!

I'd imagine the label is being a tad less secretive of Ghost, since Decon was (meant to be, before the leak) the big seller.I wouldn't be suprised if a leak did show up before the end of the month, but frankly, I'd rather it didn't so I can wait for it to be on my front doorstep without giving into temptation.

Just a bit. Its very hard to continuously discuss an unheard album without wondering if others have had the pleasure of listening to it yet. Limiting this topic to "im really really excited about ghost" is equally tedious...........

People posting how badly they need something over and over is irritating and does nothing to promote discussion. Currently there isn't much discussion to be had about Ghost, but if you remember pages of pages of certain new forum members posting about how badly they need something they're not entitled to, or speculating about when something is going to leak on an official forum and thinking there's nothing slightly wrong with that is something that has been discussed with the moderating team.

By all means, discuss the leak should it spring, anything about any aspect of the album that's already been revealed, anything about it you want really. However posting about people having it, where people have it and who they can bother to get materials before they're released? Yeah, I have a problem with that.

EDIT: Also, Power Drunk? You guys clearly don't know me that well

well, TBH I'm getting tired rather quickly too when there's post after post just saying 'ooooooh when will it leak' and 'I'm just about to die because it has not leaked yet'. Guys, it will leak soon enough and the official release is less than a month away and then there's plenty of time to actually post all your thoughts about Ghost in here. It just does not make a lot of sense to have many pages of 'did it leak?' or 'I hope it will leak soon' postings.
