Ghost 2? :o
for free?

damn, we are a pack of spoiled little shits, aren't we? :)

the album cover definitely reminds me a lot of silent hill. i remember playing the shit out of part 2 but it disturbed me to the point where I had to stop playing it late at night!

Little late to the party, but... wow at Ghost 2's artwork. Completely the opposite of what I was expecting (probably because I wasn't sure what to expect, really) but the more I look at it, the more it just seems to... fit, strangely. I won't ask about the dream that inspired it, but I'm glad Dev had it so he could come up with such a cool idea for a cover, haha. And, the perfectionist in me is really happy to see a variation of Ghost's logo on it as well - makes it feel continuous with the first album, but like it's a different entity as well. It's got that 'dark-er' vibe to it as well, which goes great with the songs I've heard so far... Drench especially. Can't wait to see the rest of the layout, if you ever get a chance/are cleared to post it!

Bit bummed about the download only release, but hey - Dev, you've done a ridiculous amount for us lately, so it doesn't bother me. Maybe when you put it up, you could do an 'In Rainbows' type thing, and put it up for free, but allow people to donate whatever amount of money they want when they download it. You're not taking anyone's cash, or ripping anyone off... if people pay, it's their choice to support you. If not, they download it for free. I'd like that, anyways, because I'd like to give you at least something for it, and I'm sure many others would as well (NOT volunteering other people's money!)... but whatever works. Just glad to see it'll actually be released!

Man, such a creepy cover, Fall and Drench are both very dreamlike so it definitely fits. The face in the background is weirding me out, especially because I can only see it in certain lighting.

Boobie/Barbie=Boorbie?

Hey Dev...wee idea...

I saw someone on your Twitter suggest you opened a Paypal to fund ZTV, what about...offering G2 as a download...BUT; people can pay however much they want for the download? Be it $0.00 or $12, or even $100 (lolwhat) that way, you're not asking for money for nothing :3 I've seen it one before, surprisingly a lot of people paid about the same as if they were buying the CD. Loads of people will download it for free, but I'd totally pay for it! :D

I agree with this. I would like to pay something too. Not $100. I'm not brain damaged. But $5 or $10 might be in it for ya.

You are aware that DTF generally stands for "Down To Fuck", as in, ready for sex, right? Juuuuust saying. Unless that's intentional. In which case.... Nice.

The Dev wrote:Hey guys, Travis has done an amazing layout for g2 before they decided to make it what they did. I'm sorry for the lack of communication on my end. This is what I plan to do:

Finish the art with Trav and make it available for download for free

Get the remaining tracks up as well, and then get it in the order it's meant to go.. you won't have to pay for it if I find a clever way.

Sorry for the bs, I'll make it happen.

free download is very generous and i just can't wait to hear it, but maybe you could do a run of like 500 or 1000 cds directly from the hevydevy site w/ a small booklet like the assorted demos/devlab. just would really be nice to have a physical CD. at the very least, maybe it could be included in the boxset?

I think this is an awesome idea. I think it may totally piss off the label, though. It's one thing to release music for free, but once money is involved, lawyers usually get involved, as well. I don't think the label would appreciate Dev selling his music without them getting a cut.

It all depends on whether or not ghost 2 or any of the material on it were ever discussed as being part of whatever deal Devin has. If it's an all-inclusive deal (not something I think he'd get into) I don't that's going to happen, but since it seems like everyone only owns the rights of distribution, if Ghost 2 was never part of said deal, he can likely do what he wants with it. Whether that pisses folks off or not, that's another story.

What about a kickstarter project for funding ztv? You could offer different levels of pay with different reward bundles. Like your very own Zilly handpuppet. Name listed in the credits. Signed ziltoid album. With all the proceeds going to ztv.
