I don't want to ruin the album experience for myself, come May/June/whenever, so I'm forcing myself not to listen and have my mind blown later... from the sound of it, though, it'll be worth it.

I wasn't particularly grabbed on my first listen, but the fact I've played it about 20 times in the last 24 hours shows it came through for me. Each time it ends, I realize I want it to be longer. I suppose the edit may have taken some length out. Of course, I'm sure the album as a whole will fix the issue of being pulled out of the journey prematurely.

Can't say I'm THAT resilient, but... man, I'm trying. The previews are enough for me, I think; I don't want to overplay the samples that are out there to the point they're stale by the time I actually get the album, y'know? That's why I haven't listened to the copy of Feather floating around online; I want to save the moment where I hear the actual track - the REAL thing in it's entirety - for when Ghost is actually in my hands, and I can listen to it all the way through. Same goes for Deconstruction, if one of the tracks gets posted ahead of it's release. I guess I just like to be totally surprised on my first listen of an album I've been anticipating...

I'll take everyone's word for it that it's awesome, though, and let that add to my suspense.

While I usually do the whole no spoilers approach I am sorely tempted to play this over and over and over cos I've been wanting Dev to do what he is doing on Ghost for years and I really don't wanna wait any longer cos I know it's gonna be claaaaaaaaaaaaaass.

I think both listening to it right away and waiting for the actual release are equally reasonable decisions. One part of me reeeeeally want to hear Feather in context with the album, while the other part is psyched about listening to the song over and over and over and over again while waiting.
It's true that songs you hear early on tend to stick out when listening to it in context with the rest of the album, but that usually evens out over time for me.

Anyway, those of you waiting for the actual release, hang in there! I wish I had your patience. Maybe I'll try to abstain from Deconstruction "leaks" and such, but I doubt I'll make it.

what the hell is the point of that? seriously, there's being patient and not listening to a leak and then there's just being excessive for no reason.
