I've not posted much recently as it's nice to get a bit of down time between Dev's projects but DAMN........how could anybody see that video and not want to enthuse about it.

Funny, interesting and just the most incredible music. Even more amazing when you consider they're just early beds!

Between the lushness of Ghost and now this perfectly targeted sense attack I think we've got a monumental double release coming our way......

It sure does sound mega epic, I heard a load of different and v strange unearthly sounding bits. Too much to absorb, I don't think anyone would absorb it with 10 or 20 listens. It's going to be mind blowingly amazing, and it's cool to think Dev is doing it sober.

I hear a lot of Alien in this record, so I'm happy.

I never did quite understand that comment considering how totally different all of the SYL albums were. He could've released Ziltoid as an SYL album and I don't think anyone would've said anything.

Some scary shit going on in that video It's like an adrenaline rush, man!

A few words about Decon from Dev, via Twitter:

Decon is shifting and lurching, a little more 'old school' than I expected, going for no triggers on drums and minimal editing. Sounds tough

Too many songs, weeding out the chaff and finding 10 slamming metal tracks for disk 1, sounds like a furious, calculating motor.

...and lastly, it is fully, completely, unremorsefully METAL.
