It's fine. Dev has given us two outstanding "album of the year" status full-length albums in the span of a year, AND a tour already. I don't expect anything more. If this is what it takes...although, DAMN you aussies for getting a two-hour set.

I enjoy albums 100% more than live shows, especially as Dev ain't coming to Ireland possibly forever! And yes I am quite disappointed, however (hopefully) none of us are terminally ill and the lad spoils us rotten as is, so cut some slack I say.

Entitled child syndrome much?

The other thing about all this is that Dev actually can make a living touring.

While I agree with you that I prefer albums to shows, it's not like a delay of two albums is going to drive me into depression here.

At least it's not like SYL where the record company wants them to be released by a certain date.
All it means, annoying as it is, is that we get a better product by the end.

Please keep us updated with teasers of Decon from time to time, Dev.

I guess I will be fine waiting for Deconstruction (Addicted was the one of the four most up my alley, I think, but I'm still looking forward to the latter half of this project)--I think that the sudden surprise of "it's going to appear a year later than you hoped!" that's upsetting folks. Understandable. We want more.

Anyways, I might even spring for this release if it features new music or incredibly different renderings of current favorites...

well, I hope that really none of you folks expected Decon to come out this year? Wouldn't that have been kinda impossible... (?)

well the way i take it is, awhile back he was saying how massive he wanted to make it with huge choirs and guest musicians and stuff but didn't really have the funding for it. so i figure touring will not only get his name out there but bring in some money to put into decon and make it that much more powerful. if that pushes it back a year, PLUS i get a full length live show to go to and a cool little live ep, then i'm pretty happy... despite the fact that about this time last year i was expecting all 4 albums to be out in '09.

plus, i believe dev said that the acoustic show which will be included in the live ep will have some brand new material (i'm assuming either snipets of ghost or "so bet it" type stuff) so that will certainly make the wait easier to digest.

He should push it back another year to 2012. That way we'll most definitely have the most haunting apocalyptic soundtrack for mankind bwahaha, if it happens. Thus making Ghost the aftermath soundtrack to the event.

Dev played an acoustic show in Melbourne last night.

He also played probably 20mins of demos of Deconstruction off his laptop.

Let there be no doubt...
This album is gonna fucking KILL

This is the Devin we've been dying to return.
The one who makes batshit insane tunes :o
