i doubt it appeared as an official album track on any version.

I remember listening to that on the metal Music Choice channel. It has a different, longer breakdown after the first chorus, mainly involving the sections with "chug-chug-chug...chug-chug-chug" and when Dev sings "All hail!" It's nothing major, but it is a little longer. Also, I think there were a couple extra lines thrown in, too, but I'm not sure.

I don´t think "extended version" is the right term. As far as i know Gene doesn´t like the sound of that older version and they changed something with the drums (snare?).

it actually is an 'extended' version...it's longer than the version that made it on the Album in the end. I actually prefer the shorter one.

The extended version is about a minute longer and appears on one of the imports (Japanese I think) and on the vinyl.

The extended version was the version from the leak as far as I remeber. It's possible that unless those releases have it listed as an extended version they were made from the wrong master. They changed it becuse they didn't like one of the sections as far as I know, you can tell the difference theres a riff in the extended one that isn't in the album version.

Accidentally, some of the officially released albums (the retail copies that you can buy in the shop) had the tracklist of the promo, with the long Love?, and the short We Ride. Maybe you can find it on ebay or something if you really want it.

I've grown so fond of the longer version that I can't even listen to the short version. Just feels that it's missing something.

I prefer the longer version too, but that's probably because it's the first one I heard. When I listen to the Alien CD, I always forget about the shortened part.
