Hello there
I´m 41 year old musician from germany and a big fan of the Dev´s works since last year, when I heard Strapping Young Lad´s Alien (Love? on german Metal Hammer CD) for the first time and purchased it. What a f...ing cool and intense Metal album! Now that´s metal of the 21st century, as I call it! Well...did purchased a number of other his works since, including Terria, Ocean Machine, Accel. Evolution, Synchestra, SYL, The new Black..and now ZILTOID THE OMNISCIENT!
What a great collection of all what makes Devin´s music so outstanding and intense! And on top of that it adds a great sense of humor, that I did not experience on any other metal album before! That´s great metal music and funny entertainment in the same place! Love Ziltoid, as well as the Planet smasher Herman and the f..ing cool Omnidimensional Creator..have many laughes while listening!
My favourites are ZTO, By your command, Solar Winds and Planet Smasher, but usually I listen to the CD in a single session! Also like the video collection with all that funny Ziltoid webisode skits and the instructional video, which again (I never did see Devin live playing guitar before) shows what a f...ing cool and skilled guitarist he is (beside his great vocal, songwriting and producing skills). Even my girlfriend likes the Ziltoid stuff, particularly the funny videos.
