I read somewhere that Haake played all of Catch 33 after it was released just to prove he could do what the drum machine could do. Is that true?

NEVER!!!
As far as I know, Tomas used to program all the drums for all the albums first, for the other band members to record/rehearse with. Then he'd start rehearsing his ass off so he could record. But they decided that the programmed drums sounded just as good so it was a waste of expensive studio-time to record the drums as well, so they decided to stick with the programmed drums on Catch 33.
And I'm sure he can play it all live

Catch 33 and I are totally different things that can't really be compared to one another.

On the other hand, I can't possible imagine there are people who like Arctic Monkeys and they seem to have lots of fans...
Opinions ARE really like assholes...
I got Nothing when it came out, and I couldn't stand it. That was long before I really got into extreme stuff, but even when I hear a Meshuggah song now, I can't see what's so great about it.
