SO whats everyones verdict on 90s rock supergroup number 3?

I'm listening to the album now and it's good. But thats about it. Not great. Deleo brothers playing is top notch as usual, but Patrick just doesn't quite have the charisma that Scott Weiland used to bring to STP. I must say I'm likin this album more than anything by Velvet Revolver or Audioslave, but its kinda disappointing that none of these bands can quite be the sum of their parts.

Just goes to show how important chemistry is in a band situtation eh?

Haven't heard it yet but read a couple of reviews that echo what you say. Its good but not great. I am a big fan of Filter so hoped it would be worth checking out. I have never heard much STP but the reviews seem to suggest this could have almost been a new STP album.

I'll check out a few tracks and see what I think.

I don't agree. I think the Richard Patrick's voice is better than Scott Weiland's. Also, he brings a work ethic to the band that Scott can't, and that makes me a bit biased, I guess. I also thought that The Panic Channel was okay, but Steve Isaacs vocals in that band deserve REALLY good songs built around them. Taken out of that context, the singer could really go places.

I look forward to hearing this.

I think Patrick is a great singer.

Didja ever consider that maybe your tastes are too refined? Slum with us for a little while...you might like substandard. (I kid, I kid...)

Yeah actually the more I've listened to this the more I like. Not groundbreaking but a fine rock album nonetheless. First 2 tracks are excellent.
