Anyone who plays the Harp has my instant respect I've heard some stuff from her first album, I enjoyed it.

now you see, i normally like this kind of stuff, but i just cant get used to her voice and i really want to! but no matter how many times i listen to her albums i cant do it *sigh*

Yeah I've seen her photos around for something like a year and always wanted to check her out and yesterday I picked up a promo CD of her new album Y's (her with an orchestra!) and I'm well impressed.

She sounds to me like a mixture of Tori Amos, Björk, Billie Holiday and Dawn McCarthy. And what a way she has with her vocal performances! Very impressed indeed.

i listened to the song crop i have here (like half of "Monkey & Bear") literally for about 30 minutes STRAIGHT. But i'm kind of afraid her vocal stuff that goes too over the top might not be of my liking, cause i already love her orchestrations and harp melodies.

And i totally gotta stop having crushes on women who apparently have some degree of craziness
