My Mum foolishly bought this album only a week or so ago, not knowing about the new version. I could have sold her my one! Dammit!

The next two albums (this, and Nothing re-release) I buy are ones that I already own.

The thought of 5.1 Opeth is an extremely cool one though. Maybe I will buy it today after work...hmm.

mine's already on the way, I can't wait.

Like Greg, I was expecting Roadrunner to do stuff like that, so I didn't buy the first edition anyways :)

Why do it with Ghost Reveries?, they could have re-released "Blackwater Park" with something cool. But I guess in all their money grabbing wisdom Roadrunner made the right choice and decided to go with GR.

I got half of my Opeth albums signed by Peter - in person :D

Hehe. I'll meet them one day! :D

OT: I just noticed all the smilies on here...good smilies!

Roadrunner don't have the rights to Blackwater Park. Music for Nations do, and they have excercised these rights recently by making a truly pathetic box set that has Blackwater, Deliverence, Damnation and two CDs featuring the audio from the Lamentations DVD..... What a gyp.

And anyway there already has been a slipcased double disk version of Blackwater, it has two bonus tracks ("Still Day Beneath the Sun" and "Patterns in the Ivy II") the video for "Harvest" and maybe something else too. Can't remember.

Oh right, the rights to the music...that's always the case. But I would assume since RR have so much money to waste, why not buy the rights from Music for Nations and then re-release everything. But now that I think about it, thats just a complete waste of time.

Yeah I rememeber seeing some crazy tin box with Opeth written all over it, is that what your talking about? :)
