I thought Merzbow was a chick?

I've heard a couple albums, really chaotic. I forget their names now, but I wish I wouldn't have traded them.

Well all I ever heard was the patton/merzbow collaboration and that was shitty.... So I'm not really tempted to check it out, honestly.

patton merzbow??
Now merzbow has only frequented my ears once, but patton has many a time.

What have they done together? what was it called?

I dont mind if ya'll dont like it.... I wouldnt class it anywhere near what dev does, but just blew me away for a first listen. It is chaos, no real time signature or true song structure. From what I can gather from one listen, It would really be cool as the credits to some fucked up horror flick.

Just mentioned it becuase I know alot of people who like devlab have trouble hearing/finding things as chaotic, un-musical theory (if that makes sense) and maybe even classed in a similar genre tro devlab. It is unique thats All Im saying.

Not really my cup of tea (or coffee for that matter; i like it double shot, dash of foamed milk, no sugar, maybe a little chocolate sprinkle for sweetness If im feeling bitter) enough of the coffee. The merzbow project that was shown to me was apparently called merzzow?? and was as dark and chaotic as satans asscrack after eating chilli all day.

merzbow isn't female.

the patton collaboration was called "maldoror" and was pretty average in my opinion.

i recommend "merzbird", "bariken", "merzbuddha" and the recent collab with Boris called "sun baked snow cave" is also worth cheking out.

He's released some obscene amount of albums over the years... Not my cup of tea 't'all 't'all. 1930 sounds like some form of machine rape.

So your saying you gave it a good rating that it didnt deserve???

tche.. I didnt post here to argue with you so I'll ignore your attempts to create tension.

heheheh.... yes machine rape is a good way of putting it..

Every listen I find it challenging... not amazing, yes kinda average, but on its own very much itself.

I will check out these other projects you mentioned gazza.... My ears and brain are open to anything as demented as this dudes music.

While Im on the subject of new stuff I found;
I just heard a Song from a band called SOULCAGE out of finland i think... was very good IMO
