Europe! Right, almost forgot them (and no, their pre-"Final Countdown" album "Wings Of Tomorrow" rules. So does John Norum)! After Europe came heavy metal...

Dude! Where have those times gone, ey! *sigh* I'm from the year 1977 and I distinctly remember: after the end of the cold war it all went to shit. The world NEEDS one more superpower and a constant nuke threat, it's what keeps people humble!
What's this topic about again? Oh, good ol' times, yes. Those were good ol' times. I could wear torn jeans with heavy trimmings and only got beat up once. And now? I don't know if people would even notice me or would they beat me up instantly or both: they'd beat me up in the middle of the street and no one would mind or notice. Fucked up world.
Sorry, rant over.

I think that 2 unlimited song might have been my first single but I'm not sure.
When I was like 3, my sister used to be into kylie inogue/jason donavon and bros (she's 6 years older, and I automatically liked what she did) and she used to copy their tapes for me and cut pictures out of smash hits magazine and stick them on the box so I thought I had the proper tapes, lol
My very favourite when I was really little was Michael Jackson though. Every week I used to watch top of the pops hoping he'd be number 1 (he probably didn't have a single out or anything, but I didn't get how it worked)
My first serious favourite bands and huge influences on me starting to play guitar were smashing pumpkins and green day

mine was black sabbath i know it sounds like i'm trying too hard but my dad played them to me when i was about 5 and it was the best... around that time i also loved a group called , LOIKO THE RUSSIAN GYPSY BAND my mum was friends with them and they were awesome live (first saw them when i was about 6)
BRAVO!
I remember looking at the back of one of my older sister's BRAVO magazines in 1980. Although I was already relatively old at the time, what I saw scared the crap out of me at first: it was a photo of an Eddie mask - the one Maiden used in the "Women In Uniform" video. Today I own every Maiden album, who wudda thunk. Fortunately I was much older when I watched Ridley Scott's "Alien" for the first time...
As for Michael Jacksong: Hell yeah, he fucking sucks! With the exception of his first couple of hits. I like "Beat It", especially for the FACEMELTING guitar solo by Jennifer Batten.

ok, let's not get crazy.
To be fair, in between that album and the unreleased stuff (Machina II) there's probably an album of decent songs... whether it would make a coherant album, I have no idea.
I slept with faith and found a corpse in my arms on awakening,
I drank and danced all night with doubt and found her a virgin in the morning.

I would consider this as my first real thought about music or a band which I should follow. (I didn't *cough* )
By the way in the age of 14, I was scared by an sticker of Kreator. Holy Moly, these guy's are sick, was what I was thinking.
Any ideas which Manowar song I could have heard? I searched on their homepage but when I looked at their Disco, I thought "Fook" - "thats too much".
Errm, could any Manowar fan of you please be so kind and tell me what song I mean?
Thanks in advance Lads and Lasses!
